Soka Gakkai International is a global, lay organisation founded on the Buddhist teachings of Nichiren Daishonin. The practice is based on chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo, the title of the Lotus Sutra. Through chanting, we bring forth our Buddha nature in the form of courage, compassion, wisdom, creativity and life force. This enables us to create value in our lives, and transform suffering.
In Exeter there are two groups, Many Treasures and Brilliant Light. Meetings take place in people’s homes. All are welcome.
